What is PRIMO?

The annual PRIMO Meeting is designed to summarize key developments in cancer care over

the past 12 months and highlight anticipated advances for the coming year. This will be

accomplished through plenary presentations, case studies, and panel discussions.

The meeting will educate attendees on the latest advances for the treatment of solid tumors and

hematologic malignancies. It will also foster discussions about incorporating innovative agents

into treatment decisions for patients with advanced cancers while practicing in the new value-

based environment.

As the science of oncology continues to advance at a pace never seen before in history, the

PRIMO meeting provides attendees with practical recommendations on how to integrate these

new data into their everyday practice. From biomarker testing and the implementation of

NexGen Sequencing (NGS), to targeted and immunotherapy adoption, to sequencing and/or

combining agents, to managing patient expectations and side effects, PRIMO will provide

attendees with the tools and strategies needed to implement and optimize therapy.

The meeting Co-Chairs, Dr. Hope S. Rugo and Dr. Julie Vose, along with an expert Steering

Committee, are currently assembling a stellar faculty for the 2025 annual PRIMO Meeting.

The PRIMO Meeting agenda is tailored to meet the educational needs of all attendees, with an

emphasis on the following key areas:

● Practical considerations of applying biomarkers and targeted therapy in clinical decision

making

● Integration of emerging immunotherapy and targeted therapy, with a focus on novel

management approaches, into daily practice

● Patient selection, as well as timing and sequencing of therapy

● Management of toxicities of the newer and novel therapies with a view to improving

patient outcomes

● The role of current trends in oncology, including the use of big data and the increased

focus on value in cancer care
